Tell us about an experience you’ve had coming back to something — or someone — after time away. What changed in your absence? How did you change? What are the funny moments, faux pas, discomforts, and joys that came with returning to an old situation (or your pre-pandemic life) with new eyes?

This is a hero's journey. A search of one being, in a land of scattered mythologies. This story speaks of a spell that cast a dark shadow over the small village.
Everybody in the tiny village had a well. There wasn't a water tower and that meant there wasn't city water. How often do you think about where your water comes from? I bet not very often. Most likely you wont notice where your water comes from until you are required to get to know your water on an intimate level.
Moving back to Mid-Michigan after being in California for seven years is largely beyond words. But I'm going to paint the picture that I see. I don't expect everyone, or anyone, to fully understand what I'm saying. This is a feeling story. I am painting a picture that points toward a Universal truth. "A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder: fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won: the hero comes back from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow boons on his fellow man."
In college for five years before that. And one year in another families home as a senior in high school. I'm back in the area code where I grew up. I'm living in a house that's been in my family for four generations.
