Welcome to my daily building pad. Here you can follow my curiosity throughout the day as I keep this page updated. This is my second day of #buildinginpublic on my own website. Shout out to potion.so and notion.so for creating such a cool product like this.
I use toggles to express different ideas. And I plan on time stamping them. - 11:10 AM
The first sentence or main idea from my thought will be added to the main toggle area. The you can click it open to find the content I dropped. Mostly, it will be written thoughts but it could also be a post to a bookmarked page or a video..who knows.
I'm obsessed with the power of potion.so - 11:20 AM
I like that I can update my website via phone or desktop. I use notion.so for most of my workflow already, and potion sits on top of Notion - allowing me to update my feed as I go. I am using these build in public pages to canvas my thoughts, ideas, and curiosity throughout the day. I am ADHD AF...but that is my super power. And building my site on potion.so enables me to step fully into my power. #letemwatch
I've been building a lot lately so today it's time to sit back and write. I must focus my attention on Simple Camper. I've been laser-focused on building the VLC website that I haven't created much content for SC in a minute. - 11:26 AM
Simple Camper is a camper van rental company that is operating and running...mostly smoothly. My biz partner had to deal with some shitty work last week...Literally, shit...the bathroom in the camper van was backed up and we had to get a mechanic to drive out to our renters and help them out. Thank you, for saving the day.
I'm writing a post about National Park Week - 2:31 PM
Did you know National Park Week begins tomorrow April 17th and goes through April 25th? Tomorrow is a great day to explore a National Park because it is a fee free day to celebrate "Park Rx Day." I'm writing about this on the Simple Camper blog.
I finished a short post for Simple Camper that talks about National Park Week this week - 3:50 PM
Celebrating National Park Week 2021 - Simple Camper
National Park Week starts tomorrow. Did you know National Park Week is recognized by a Presidential proclamation? The proclamation came in 2010, by President Barrack Obama. National Park Week happens every year from April 17th through April 25th.
After posting it on the company website I syndicated it on Medium. I like to syndicate my blog posts because it spreads our branding to other platforms but it also lets us earn income through the Medium Partner Program. I started doing this last month and I earned 15 cents. Not a lot, but its our first online money for simple camper and now the snowball is rolling.
I added a login button to the vanlife cafe website. - 3:52 PM
I can honestly say V1 of the VLC is structurally complete. I need to generate one more link for vanworks to share with their customers, but aside from that this version (v1) is complete.
v2 will be a more elaborate dashboard. Imagine a virtual garage where you can show off your camper van in a unique way. That is v2.
Richard Heart Live Stream talking about Pulsechain - 8:26 PM
I haven't finished this video yet but it is giving me a lot of feels. This is becoming my favorite Richard stream.
You thought I was done for the day, didn't you? Troubleshooting. 10:12 PM
I've been trying to nail down the nuances of setting up memberstack memberships on my webflow website. It's def an iterative process. I managed to figure out that my system is working. It's just that my zap isn't automating right away...ahh hah. That's it. I need to see if I can set up instant zaps. Then again, I don't think this is why there is a delay.
The Wisdom of Insecurity by Alan Watts
"We live in an age of unprecedented anxiety. Spending all our time trying to aniticpate and plan for the future and to lamenting the past, we forget to embrace the here and now. We are so concerned with tomorrow that we forget to enjoy today. Drawing from Eastern philosophy and religion, here Alan Watts explains that it is not only by acknowledging that we do not-and cannot - know that we can learn anything truly worth knowing. In the "Wisdom of Insecurity," he shows us how, in order to lead a fulfilling life, we must embrace the present - and live fully in the now."
